According to BlockBeats, Patrick Shyu, former technical lead for Google's YouTube app architecture, liquidated his entire Bitcoin position on June 27, citing massive financial losses. Shyu disclosed via social media that Bitcoin declined 50% from approximately $120,000 in October 2025 to just above $60,000 in June 2026. He attributed the losses partly to using leverage in his position, noting that a small mistake triggered significant consequences and no preparation could buffer the psychological impact of such volatility.
