ETH-1.46%
According to CoinDesk, Ethereum developers have entered the final development stage of the Glamsterdam upgrade, currently running developer networks containing all planned EIPs before deployment to public testnets. The upgrade is expected to launch on mainnet in H2 2026 and is described as the largest upgrade since the Merge. Key features include EIP-7732, which embeds proposer-builder separation into the core protocol to reduce MEV manipulation, and EIP-7928, which allows blocks to declare accessed accounts and contract data in advance to improve execution efficiency. The upgrade will also include Gas repricing changes that will significantly alter operation costs on Ethereum.
