According to state media, on June 28, China's Water Resources Ministry issued a forecast predicting heavy rain and potential flooding across southern regions from June 28 to July 3. The warning covers parts of southern Anhui, northern Jiangxi, northern Hunan, southern Hubei, southern Guizhou, and northwestern Guangxi, with risks of major flooding in Jiangxi's Changjiang River and smaller rivers potentially exceeding warning levels.
The ministry directed officials to monitor flood risks in key areas and focus on disaster prevention in medium and small rivers and mountain torrents within the forecasted heavy rain zone.
