China's Taiwan Affairs Office Reiterates Taiwan Sovereignty on May 27, Rejects Independence Claims

GateNews
On May 27, according to China's Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Chen Binhua, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and China's central government exclusively enjoys sovereignty over Taiwan, including its administration. Chen stated that the Democratic Progressive Party's characterization of cross-strait relations as "mutual non-subordination" distorts the political reality caused by civil conflict and external interference, calling it a "complete lie" and separatist claim. Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council earlier responded that Taiwan has never been ruled by the People's Republic of China, asserting this as an objective fact and the current status quo.
