China's Ministry of Commerce Accelerates AI Consumer Products Development, Targets Next-Gen Smartphones and Smart Homes on June 18

According to Guru Club, China's Ministry of Commerce and seven other departments released implementation guidelines on June 18 to accelerate development in the AI-consumer sector. The guidance calls for faster rollout of next-generation AI-enabled smartphones, computers, and televisions, alongside expanded promotion of smart home appliances, smart kitchens, and intelligent lighting systems. The policy also prioritizes cultivating markets for AI wearables and smart vehicles, with a focus on creating an integrated ecosystem linking people, vehicles, and homes.
