According to Jin10, China’s UN envoy Fu Cong urged Syria’s inclusive political transition during a UN Security Council meeting on May 15. Fu emphasized the need to help Syria maintain internal stability and prevent regional escalation amid ongoing Middle East tensions. He called on Syrian parties to pursue political dialogue and reconciliation, urging the transitional government to convert political commitments into concrete actions against all UN-designated terrorist organizations, including the East Turkestan Islamic Movement.
