China Lists 20 Japanese Entities in Export Control Over Military, Nuclear Concerns

According to China's Ministry of Commerce today, the government has added 20 Japanese entities to a control list and placed another 20 on a watch list, citing measures to prevent Japan's remilitarization and nuclear ambitions. Spokesperson He Yadong stated that China enforces export controls on critical minerals including rare earths in accordance with regulations, approving compliant civilian license applications. The ministry attributed current China-Japan tensions to Japan's political positions and called for Tokyo to address underlying issues.
