ByteDance Develops AI Chip Based on Groq's LPU Architecture

According to The Information, ByteDance is developing a new AI chip designed to run artificial intelligence models and expand its autonomous AI infrastructure. The chip architecture references Groq's language processing unit (LPU) technology, aiming to run AI models at lower cost.

ByteDance is also collaborating closely with InnoStar Semiconductor to integrate the chip with its AI platform. The move signals ByteDance's accelerated effort in autonomous AI hardware development, intended to improve large model execution efficiency and reduce operational costs.
