According to Bloomberg, Apple is revamping Siri for iOS 27 with a dedicated chatbot app, Dynamic Island integration, and a new system-wide "Search or Ask" interface, leaked ahead of WWDC 2026 on June 8. The redesigned assistant will support document and photo uploads, persistent voice mode, and a drop-down menu routing queries to Google Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude directly from the interface.
The new Siri will run on Google Gemini technology after Apple's own AI models proved inadequate for the overhaul. Apple also settled a $250 million class action earlier this month over unfulfilled Apple Intelligence promises, with eligible iPhone 15 and 16 buyers able to claim up to $95 per device.
