Binance's EU MiCA License Application Set to Be Rejected; Exchange to Lose 27-Member Access from July

According to two sources cited by Reuters, Binance's MiCA license application submitted to Greek regulators is set to be rejected, meaning the exchange will lose authorization to operate across the EU's 27 member states starting in July. Under the EU's crypto asset regulation framework (MiCA), crypto firms must obtain licenses from member state regulators by June 30 to operate across the bloc.

Binance stated it has collaborated with regulators for over 18 months and believes it meets MiCA requirements. The exchange committed to providing further clarification by June 30, 2026, and warned that delays in the authorization process could result in business relocation outside the EU.
