Binance Halts EU Crypto Services on July 1 as MiCA Takes Effect, Reassures Users on Asset Safety

According to Binance, on July 1 the exchange halted crypto asset services in European Union markets as the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation took effect. The company reassured affected users that customer assets remain held on a one-to-one basis and are safe on the platform.

Binance withdrew its MiCA application in Greece and is pursuing an alternative licensing route. The exchange stated that transfers and withdrawals remain available where applicable, depending on user location and account status, and is contacting affected users directly with next steps.
