According to Odaily, Benchmark partner Chetan Puttagunta questioned Anthropic's call for stricter model distillation regulations on X platform. Puttagunta argued that given Anthropic's estimated $1 trillion valuation and substantial resources, large-scale distillation attacks should be relatively easy to detect and track, suggesting the real cost of restricting such behavior is foregone API revenue rather than technical limitations.
