According to Jin10 data, Beijing and Shanghai market regulators signed a food safety governance cooperation framework agreement on May 28 to establish a coordinated oversight mechanism for online food delivery services. On the same day, both regulatory authorities held a joint administrative guidance session with Meituan (headquartered in Beijing), Taobao Flash (headquartered in Shanghai), and JD.com Takeaway (headquartered in Shanghai) to ensure compliance with the new network catering food safety regulation set to take effect on June 1, 2026.
