Aztec Labs Confirms $2M Vulnerability in Deprecated Payment Product

According to Aztec Labs, approximately $2 million was transferred from a non-upgradeable smart contract vulnerability affecting a deprecated Aztec payment product from 2021. The team has no administrative control over the contract and cannot pause or upgrade it. The incident is unrelated to the separate Aztec Connect exploitation reported on June 14. Aztec Labs said it will continue monitoring the situation and provide updates.
