Austria Opposes Fast-Track Procedure for Ukraine's EU Membership on July 25

According to CCTV, Austrian Minister of European Affairs, Integration and Family Claudia Bauer said on July 25 that she opposes a fast-track procedure for Ukraine's EU membership, insisting the country must follow the standard accession process. Bauer noted that Ukraine's agricultural structure differs significantly from current EU member states and its membership would have major implications for the EU, requiring careful consideration. She stressed that all countries applying to join the EU should follow the same rules and meet accession conditions through reforms and demonstrated results.
