Atlas Plans USAFi Token Launch in Q3 2026 Under Dubai VARA, Backed by Nasdaq ETF

According to Bitcoin.com, Atlas Capital Team plans to launch USAFi in Q3 2026 under Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), an ERC-20 token backed by the Atlas America Fund, a Nasdaq-listed ETF. The token is designed as a regulated permissionless security with reserve assets custodied at the Bank of New York, aimed at bringing institutional-grade collateral into decentralized finance with 24/7 onchain access.

Nouriel Roubini, the economist known for decades of cryptocurrency criticism, is backing the initiative, signaling growing institutional support for tokenized reserve assets. Reza Bundy, Atlas Capital Team's chairman and CEO, described USAFi as part of a broader "Technodollar" thesis, where diversified reserves in Treasuries, gold, commodities, and AI-linked industries replace single-commodity backing for dollar dominance.
