Anthropic Survey: Heavy AI Users Most Optimistic About Salary and Job Prospects

According to Anthropic's latest AI Economic Index report based on survey data from 9,700 users, high-paying roles consume 2.07 times more AI computing power than low-paying positions. The report reveals that over one-third of users expect AI to take over most work within a year.

Counters to expectations, users who delegate work most heavily to AI automation report the strongest optimism about future income and employment prospects. When using Claude Code terminal tool, users show significantly higher willingness to grant AI autonomous decision-making, scoring 0.37 points higher than web interface usage on autonomy metrics.
