Figure launches OPEN platform to enable direct stock lending transactions on the blockchain

PANews January 14 News, according to Bloomberg, Figure Technology has launched a new platform called “OPEN” (On-Chain Public Equity Network), which allows companies to issue real equity tokens on its Provenance blockchain. Shareholders can directly borrow stocks without going through traditional brokers or custodians. Figure will be the first to issue its own equity tokens and support trading on its decentralized platform, aiming to reconstruct the infrastructure of the equity market.
