Laut BIT-Marktdaten fiel der Philadelphia Semiconductor Index am 3. Juli um 5 %, wobei die Bereiche Speicher und optische Kommunikation weitgehend nachgaben. SanDisk führte die Rückgänge mit einem Rückgang von über 12 % an, gefolgt von Micron und Intel, die um über 5 % fielen. Marvell Technology, Applied Materials und Corning fielen jeweils um über 9 %, während AMD um über 4 % rutschte. Broadcom und Nvidia gaben um etwa 2 % nach.
