Der Stoxx 50 (Europas führender Blue-Chip-Aktienindex) sank um 0,92%, während der UK FTSE 100 (britische Leitindex) um mehr als 1% nachgab. Deutschlands DAX 30 (der wichtigste deutsche Aktienindex) ging um 0,5% zurück.

Der S&P-500-Index stieg um 105,86 Punkte, also um 1,46%, auf 7.365,08. Der Nasdaq-Composite-Index kletterte um 512,82 Punkte und gewann 2,02% auf 25.838,94.
