Nach Angaben der US-amerikanischen Flugaufsichtsbehörde Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) meldete am Montag um 7:15 Uhr ET ein JetBlue-Airbus-A321-Flugzeug, dass es beim Anflug auf den New Yorker John F. Kennedy International Airport eine Drohne getroffen habe. Der Zusammenstoß ereignete sich in etwa 3.000 Fuß Höhe während der Endanflugphase. Das Flugzeug war von Las Vegas gestartet. Die FAA hat eine Untersuchung des Vorfalls eingeleitet.
