Laut einem Parlamentsmitglied aus dem Iran, Behnam Saeidi, wurde am 7. Mai kein Uran aus dem Iran abtransportiert. Saeidi wies die US-Beschuldigungen zurück, wonach 400 Kilogramm Uran exportiert worden seien, und bezeichnete die Behauptung als „reines politisches Getöse und eine blanke Lüge“. Er erklärte, dass Rechte zur Urananreicherung, vollständige Sanktionsaufhebung und die Freigabe nationaler Vermögenswerte nicht verhandelbare rote Linien seien.
