This feature will support usage on both web and mobile (App v8.19.0), enabling more timely interactions between users and hosts, while enhancing participation and making communication smoother within live rooms.
The newly launched co-streaming feature supports real-time voice interaction between viewers and hosts. With this mechanism, live streaming formats become more diverse, and viewers can participate more naturally. Whether asking questions, sharing opinions, or joining activity segments, users can communicate more directly and smoothly. In addition, a new co-streaming component has been added to the live room, providing a convenient and structured interaction process.
When applying to start a stream, hosts need to proactively enable the co-streaming function. When viewers submit co-streaming requests, hosts can review the request details and choose to accept or decline as needed. Once approved, real-time voice interaction begins immediately.
For users, after entering a live room, they can initiate a request by clicking the "Co-Streaming" button. If the feature is not enabled for the current stream, this entry will not be displayed. After submitting a request, users need to wait for host approval. Once approved, the system will notify the user, who can then activate the microphone to interact with the host in real time and participate in the live session.
The co-streaming feature is suitable for various live scenarios, including Q&A interactions where viewers ask questions and hosts respond instantly, roundtable discussions with multiple users around specific topics, and interactive segments where users share opinions or participate in activities in real time. In gaming streams or prediction-based content, the co-streaming feature can also enhance user engagement and make interactions more dynamic and diverse.
Gate will continue to optimize the capabilities of Gate Live and explore more interactive content formats. The launch of the co-streaming feature marks another important step in Gate's effort to build a Web3 content ecosystem, with more feature upgrades and experience improvements to come.
