Initial Listing: Gate to Launch Commodities Section with XTI and XBR Perpetual Contracts (USDT-M)

Gate's Commodities Section will officially launch live trading of XTI (WTI Crude Oil) and XBR (Brent Crude Oil) perpetual contracts (USDT-M) at 08:00 (UTC) on January 27, 2026, supporting long and short positions with leverage from 1x to 100x. Leverage can be selected at the time of order placement.

XTI is the trading symbol for WTI crude oil. This contract is based on the WTI crude oil index, with prices quoted in USDT.

XBR is a commonly used trading symbol for Brent crude oil in international markets. This contract is based on the Brent crude oil index, with prices quoted in USDT.

Notes:

• Launch Time: If there is significant price volatility during the pre-launch phase, the contract launch may be delayed. The exact launch time will be adjusted according to actual market conditions.
• Trading Parameter Adjustments: To mitigate market risks and optimize user trading experience, Gate will adjust trading parameters—including funding rates, tick size, maximum leverage, risk limits, and maintenance margin requirements—as needed based on actual market conditions.
• Mark Price Mechanism: The mark price follows standard calculation methods. However, as the external markets referenced by these indices operate on specific trading schedules, the index price will enter a quote-hold state during non-trading hours. In such cases, the index price will continue to use the last valid quote prior to the start of that period. Users are advised to monitor the activity of external reference markets closely and set appropriate take-profit and stop-loss orders to mitigate risks arising from liquidity changes and price volatility.
