Musk Builds "Space Chip Empire" in Texas: 200 Billion 2nm Chips Annually, 80% Computing Power Heading to the Stars
While everyone is still debating the process competition between TSMC and Intel, Musk quietly dropped a bombshell.
He just threw out a message on X: The Terafab project officially lands in Texas.
Don't get it wrong, this is not another Starship, but a super factory that produces 200 billion 2nm chips annually.
Even more aggressive is that this factory is not prepared for smartphones.
Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI join forces with only one goal: send 80% of computing power to space.
That's right, 2nm process, exclusively for AI5, Optimus humanoid robots, and D3 chips specially designed for space environments.
Annual computing power reaches 1 petawatt—this number is more exaggerated than the US national power generation capacity.
And these chips will be directly installed in Starships in the future, covering Starlink, becoming "computing power nodes" floating in orbit.
