As US-Iran tensions escalate, a tanker is attacked in the Strait of Hormuz.

Jinse Finance reports that on June 28, according to CNBC, an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was hit by a shell on Saturday, marking the latest escalation in tensions between the US and Iran after the two sides had reached a temporary agreement aimed at ending hostilities in the region. The UK Maritime Trade Operations Center said a vessel in the strait was struck by an "unidentified flying object," damaging the hull, but the crew was reported to be safe. Bahrain also condemned Iran's drone attack on Saturday, calling it a "blatant violation" of its sovereignty. These new attacks come as the US and Iran are supposed to be in 60-day ceasefire talks, negotiating to end the war. However, both sides accuse each other of violating the terms of the agreement.
