Abstract generation in progress

According to Beating Monitoring, website analytics company Similarweb has released April year-over-year data for the Claude App: global monthly active users (MAU) surged from 11.31 million in the same period last year to 85.79 million, up 658% year over year; app store downloads jumped from 0.92 million to 22.3 million, up 2321% year over year. The statistics cover both Android and iPhone platforms worldwide.

This round of growth has been concentrated in the past few months. Since the beginning of the year, Anthropic has rolled out new features for Claude intensively, such as Claude Cowork; meanwhile, at the end of February it publicly rejected the U.S. Pentagon’s final ultimatum calling for the removal of two “red lines” — large-scale monitoring and autonomous weapons. Shortly afterward, Claude topped the free charts on the App Stores in multiple countries.
