Robert Hackett of a16z and John Palmer of CBOE Digital said the term ‘stablecoin’ no longer fits a market valued at about $321 billion. Hackett said the label came from crypto’s early volatility, while Palmer called it overly passive and pointed to broader utility for the technology.
