On Jueves Santo, the Spanish Legion lands at the port, marches through the city, and honours Cristo de la Buena Muerte. It is an old tradition and a special priviledge to carry Christ. One of my lil cousins in amongst these.

I do not feel comfortable in front of the camera.
I have done it in the past, but I always felt a bit embarrassed. Thought it felt cringe. Probably it was cringe, idk. But its all mostly just in my head.
Today I did not think about it, walked the streets, one take from the heart, posted with some words.
It felt good, it felt natural.

A personal annectode
Shortly after the Syrian war started in 2011 a wave of refugees entered Germany and the small town I was living in of 10,000 inhabitants hosted around 1,000 refugees.
A massive proportion for such a small town. I saw everyone initially very entuthimstiac and helpful, specially while the cameras where there. That enthusiasm faded equally fast.
After some weeks, I meet Abdel on the streets, more or less my age, he barely spoke any English and no German at all. But he looked at me and something in his eyes showed a great heart.

I often think about this.. This is the reality on X, Facebook, Youtube, and any other social media.

Learn to say no
On almost every deal I get offered, the initial payment proposal is significantly lower than what I end up getting paid.
If you do not know your value and smell like desperation, the other side will take advantage of you.
Low ball offers most often aren’t finite, it’s the logical financial approach to try and close a deal at a discount.
No one will stand up for you, so either you do, or you’ll always get paid less than what you’re worth.
I’ve had my own marketing agencies. I got deals for myself and other creators. Trust me, I’ve seen this a lot.
