Bitcoin ETF Net Outflows Nearly $3 Billion in June, Institutions Retreating

So far in June, U.S. spot BTC ETFs have seen net outflows of nearly $3 billion.
Even BlackRock’s IBIT is experiencing outflows.
ETFs have been the most important channel for institutional capital to enter crypto in recent years. Continued outflows mean:
Short-term new buying power is drying up
Institutions are in a wait-and-see mode
No “bag holders”
But on the other hand:
Overall ETF holdings are still at historically high levels, with long-term funds not retreating en masse.
The key point to watch: the first full week of July.
Options expiration + end of quarter + thin summer liquidity—these three pressures won’t ease until early July.
If ETF capital re-enters in July, that’s a bottom signal.
If outflows continue, then keep waiting.
