The biggest reason for the failure of the social decentralized app wasn't anything to do with competition from web2 apps like X. Base, Farcaster & The Arena all built great products, but they marketed it to the same 10 crypto users. There's no way they could have scaled without tapping in to web2 audiences. You can't build a decentralized app, then centralize it within the crypto community. I hope it's not too late for them to see and correct this.
