31 provinces announce 2025 economic growth rates, with nearly half exceeding the previous year( including video)

[Caixin] As of January 28, all 31 provinces in China have announced their economic growth rates for 2025. Among them, 20 provinces have growth rates at or above the national level, 15 provinces have growth rates higher than 2024, but 16 provinces have failed to meet their initial growth targets.

According to Caixin, Tibet continues to lead the country with a 7% growth rate in 2025, significantly higher than other provinces. Gansu (5.8%), Hebei (5.6%), and Henan (5.6%) also have growth rates above 5.5%. Fourteen economically large provinces, including Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Hubei, and Shanghai, have growth rates between 5.1% and 5.5%, above the national average of 5%. Fujian and Jilin have growth rates matching the national level. Eleven provinces have growth rates below the national average, with Liaoning (3.7%), Guangdong (3.9%), Hainan (4%), Shanxi (4%), Qinghai (4.1%), Yunnan (4.1%), and Heilongjiang (4.2%) experiencing notably lower growth.
