The State Taxation Administration’s big data analysis shows that by 2025, the construction of a unified national market will be further advanced, with inter-provincial trade sales increasing by 4.5% year-on-year, accounting for 41% of the national sales, up 0.8 percentage points from the previous year. Over 80% of provinces nationwide experienced positive growth in inter-provincial sales.
At the same time, the radiation and driving effect of key regions has become evident. In 2025, sales outside the regions of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta increased by 4%, 6.2%, and 4.6% year-on-year respectively; trade exchanges between key regions are frequent, with sales from Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei to the Yangtze River Delta and from the Pearl River Delta to Chengdu-Chongqing increasing by 6.7% and 7.8% respectively.
Additionally, the number of cross-province trade entities is growing rapidly. In 2025, the number of tax-related business entities engaged in cross-province sales increased by 8% year-on-year, accounting for more than half of all entities involved in sales activities.
Tax authorities continue to deepen cross-regional tax and fee service reforms, implementing nationwide handling of tax-related matters. In 2025, electronic tax payments by taxpayers for cross-province transactions exceeded 130 billion yuan, a 39% increase year-on-year. (CCTV News)
