Breaking News on Middle East Tensions!

According to CCTV News, on the evening of March 2 local time, the Iraqi militia group “Islamic Resistance Organization” claimed responsibility for the attack on a U.S. military base in Kuwait that day.

Additionally, in the early hours of March 3 local time, several explosions were heard again southwest of Doha, the capital of Qatar. The U.S. Udeid Air Base in Qatar is located about 35 kilometers southwest of Doha.

On March 3 local time, the Public Relations Department of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that its naval drone unit launched the 13th round of attacks on the U.S. military base “Alifjan” in Kuwait as part of “Operation True Commitment-4.”

This morning, precious metal prices surged again, with spot gold reaching $5,350 per ounce, up 0.67% intraday; spot silver rose 1.50% to $90.62 per ounce; and New York silver futures increased 2% to $90.65 per ounce.

According to the latest research report from Galaxy Securities, the escalation of U.S.-Iran conflict and increasing international tensions and regional conflicts may drive global central banks and investment institutions to further increase gold holdings, supporting a medium-term rise in gold prices. Additionally, U.S. military actions against Iran will likely lead to increased military spending and replenishment of weapons and equipment by various countries, creating additional demand for upstream metals such as tungsten, molybdenum, and germanium used in military manufacturing. It is recommended to focus on leading companies in the military metals sector.

U.S. Military Base Attacked! Iraqi Armed Forces Join the Fight

According to CCTV News, on the evening of March 2 local time, the Iraqi militia group “Islamic Resistance Organization” claimed responsibility for the attack on a U.S. military base in Kuwait.

Furthermore, the Iraqi militia stated that since the early hours of March 2, they have launched 28 attacks using dozens of missiles and drones against U.S. facilities in Iraq and surrounding areas.

On the early morning of March 3, explosions were again heard southwest of Doha, Qatar. The U.S. Udeid Air Base, about 35 kilometers southwest of Doha and approximately 200 kilometers from the Iranian border, hosts about 10,000 U.S. troops and is one of the largest U.S. military bases in the Gulf region.

On the same day, Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, was also attacked again. The UAE National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority issued a nationwide emergency alert, advising residents to stay away from windows and doors.

A U.S. official revealed on March 2 that the U.S. State Department has urged American citizens to leave more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries immediately.

Since the U.S. and Israel launched military strikes against Iran on February 28, Iran has continued retaliatory attacks on U.S. military and diplomatic facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, and Jordan.

U.S. Releases Latest Casualty Figures

According to Xinhua News Agency, the U.S. Central Command announced on social media on March 2 that six U.S. service members have died in military operations against Iran.

The statement also said that U.S. forces recovered the bodies of two soldiers previously missing from a facility that was targeted in Iran’s retaliation.

Additionally, U.S. newspaper Stars and Stripes reported that CENTCOM spokesperson Tim Hawkins said that by the afternoon of March 2, 18 U.S. soldiers had been seriously injured in military operations against Iran.

President Trump stated at a White House event on March 2 that the progress of the Iran operations was “far beyond expectations,” and that “no matter how long it takes or what the cost, we will continue the operation.” The government estimates the operation will last “4 to 5 weeks,” but “we have the capacity to sustain longer.”

On February 28, the U.S. and Israel launched large-scale attacks on Iran, resulting in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. Iran responded with attacks on U.S. military bases and Israeli targets across the Middle East.

Iran Nuclear Facilities Attacked Twice by U.S. and Israel

According to CCTV News citing Iran, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Chairman Isrami stated that on the evening of February 1, the U.S. and Israel launched two attacks on the Natanz nuclear facility in Isfahan Province, central Iran.

Isrami conveyed this in a letter to IAEA Director General Grossi, emphasizing that Iran’s nuclear facilities are “peaceful.”

He called on the IAEA to fulfill its responsibilities under the Agency’s Statute and condemned these “illegal” acts. Iran has taken necessary measures to defend its sovereignty and will pursue appropriate legal actions.

On June 21 last year, the U.S. launched the “Midnight Hammer” strike against Iran, with President Trump announcing the successful targeting of three nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Stamer: UK Will Not Participate

According to Xinhua News Agency, UK Prime Minister Stamer told the UK Parliament on the afternoon of February 2 that the UK would not participate in the U.S. and Israel’s offensive against Iran, nor does it believe in “regime change from the air.”

Stamer said such decisions require ensuring the UK’s actions are legally justified. He also mentioned that although U.S. President Trump was dissatisfied with the UK’s non-participation, the UK must consider its national interests.

UK media reported on February 2 that Stamer had previously blocked the U.S. from using the Chagos Islands military base for strikes against Iran. On the evening of February 2, Stamer issued a statement agreeing to allow the U.S. to use the base for “specific and limited” defensive purposes.

According to CCTV News, on March 2, French Foreign Minister Bardot stated at a press conference in Paris that France was not notified and did not participate in the U.S.-Israel military actions. Such operations could only be considered legitimate if approved by the UN Security Council.

Bardot warned that indefinite extension of military actions without clear objectives could trigger a vicious cycle, dragging Iran and the entire region into long-term instability.
