March 3rd marks the 30th day of the Spring Festival travel season and the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival. According to China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Railway Group), passenger flow remained stable during the Lantern Festival. On March 2nd, 2.462 million passengers were transported, and today’s expected passenger count is 2.05 million. Shanghai Railway Group plans to add 164 passenger trains today (including 109 direct trains, 55 intra-region trains, and 97 expanded EMU trains). The additional trains mainly serve long-distance routes from Chengdu, Changsha, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, and other regions to major cities in the Yangtze River Delta, as well as intra-region short-distance routes from Fuyang, Bengbu, Xuzhou, and other areas to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Hefei, and other cities.
