At the close, the MOEX Russia Index was virtually unchanged at 0.00%, reaching a nearly three-month high.
The best-performing stock in the MOEX Russia Index was TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin (MCX:TATN), up 3.04% (16.50 points), closing at 559.50. Meanwhile, Polyus PJSC (MCX:PLZL) rose 3.03% (75.80 points), closing at 2,581.20; LUKOIL PJSC (MCX:LKOH) increased 2.99% (156.00 points), ending the session at 5,376.50.
The weakest-performing stock was Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:AFLT), down 1.59% (0.89 points), closing at 54.98. Magnit PJSC (MCX:MGNT) fell 1.49% (50.00 points), closing at 3,309.50; Federal Hydro Generating Company RusHydro PJSC (MCX:HYDR) declined 1.44% (0.01 points), at 0.44.
A total of 183 stocks on the Moscow Exchange declined, outnumbering the 61 stocks that rose, while 4 stocks remained unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index (RVI), which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, remained unchanged at 0.00% at 23.92, hitting a one-month low.
Gold futures April options contracts rose 1.03% (53.70 points), reaching $5,247.90. In other futures, April WTI crude oil futures increased 2.78% (1.81 points), at $67.02, while May London Brent crude oil futures rose 2.45% (1.73), trading at $72.48.
USD/RUB increased 0.55%, with the exchange rate at 77.30; meanwhile, EUR/RUB gained 0.69%, quoted at 91.32.
The US dollar index futures fell 0.17%, at 97.57.
