I’ve discovered something particularly frightening: the main population living in rural areas now consists of people over 50 years old. Young and middle-aged people only come back once in a while for festivals. When someone over 50 in the family passes away, the house is no longer occupied on a daily basis, and there are no lights at night. In a few decades, after the current main residents have passed away, there will truly be no one left in the countryside.
