Director Luo Wen of the State Administration for Market Regulation conducts research in Beijing on stabilizing prices and ensuring quality of important consumer goods
On February 12, Luo Wen, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, conducted research in Beijing on important livelihood commodities such as price stabilization and quality assurance, food safety, and special equipment safety. Luo Wen and his team visited the Xinfadi Agricultural Products Wholesale Market, where they inspected the prices of essential livelihood commodities like vegetables, meat, eggs, and dairy products in trading halls and agricultural product exhibition centers; they also examined the management of edible agricultural product processing facilities and the implementation of the “two responsibilities” for food safety. Additionally, they visited the Daxing Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone and the National Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Quality Inspection and Testing Center to review the implementation of the “two regulations” for special equipment safety, such as gas cylinders, and the safety management of hydrogen-related facilities. Luo Wen emphasized the need to strengthen monitoring and early warning of important livelihood commodity prices, increase inspection efforts, crack down on illegal pricing behaviors, and maintain a stable and orderly market. He also highlighted the importance of ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and fulfilled during the busy Spring Festival travel and tourism season, strengthening food safety supervision. Furthermore, he called for the active use of smart and non-on-site supervision methods, focusing on “people, materials, and technology” to conduct inspections and maintenance, ensuring the safe operation of special equipment and allowing people to enjoy a joyful and peaceful holiday.
