Recently, international silver prices have been volatile at high levels, attracting market attention.

On February 27, COMEX silver futures prices surged by over 4%. Influenced by the sharp rise in international silver prices and other factors, many brands’ silver quotes approached 40 yuan per gram, while craftsmanship silver products from brands like Chow Tai Fook were close to 50 yuan per gram.

While silver sales prices continue to rise, the recycling market presents a different picture. On February 27, China Securities Journal conducted an on-site investigation of the silver recycling market. During the visit, most jewelry brands clearly stated they do not recycle silver. Some brands do recycle silver, but at prices much lower than their selling prices. Among them, sales staff at Chow Tai Fook stores said the company has currently suspended its gold recycling business.
