News Report by Yang Wenjuan: “Getting funds within half a day without currency exchange, perfectly avoiding exchange rate losses—Minsheng Bank’s cross-border RMB services are truly a ‘risk-avoidance神器’!” Recently, the CFO of a semiconductor component R&D company in Shangrao praised the service of China Minsheng Bank’s Shangrao branch while holding the settlement voucher.

The company has long settled transactions in US dollars and once faced nearly zero profit on orders due to an 8% drop in exchange rates, along with pressure on cash flow. Just when the company was at a loss, the branch service team proactively visited, suggesting to switch to RMB direct settlement to avoid risks, quickly completing qualification review, and opening an online “contract filing—fund receipt” channel, achieving “zero offline visits and paperless processing.”

“Previously, US dollar settlements took 3 to 5 days, and currency exchange involved costs, with exchange rate fluctuations being very stressful,” said the CFO. Now, RMB settlements can be credited within half a day, not only avoiding exchange rate risks but also reducing overall costs. The branch regularly provides exchange rate hedging plans and market commentary, making corporate decision-making easier. With financial empowerment, the company’s capital turnover speed has increased by 50%, and overseas orders are expected to grow by 12% in 2025.

It is reported that the branch is deeply engaged in cross-border financial services, aiming to achieve breakthroughs in multiple cross-border RMB and other business areas by 2025. Cross-border RMB settlement volume accounts for over 30% of total foreign and domestic currency settlements, ranking among the top among local joint-stock banks.

“We will continue to leverage technology to optimize services, building a dual defense line of efficiency and security for foreign trade companies to ‘go global’,” said a relevant person in charge of the branch. In the future, they will keep innovating products to help domestic foreign trade companies stabilize their overseas market share.
