NVIDIA is about to launch AI processing dedicated chips

February 28, according to The Wall Street Journal, NVIDIA is about to launch a dedicated AI processing chip aimed at shaking up the competitive landscape of artificial intelligence computing. OpenAI is expected to become one of the largest customers for NVIDIA’s new processor. The chip focuses on accelerating the “inference” needs of AI queries, speeding up AI model response times, and is expected to be announced at the NVIDIA GTC developer conference in San Jose next month.
