At 11:00 AM Eastern Time on February 27, former U.S. President Bill Clinton began testifying before the House Oversight and Reform Committee at his property in New York State regarding the Epstein case. During the questioning, he stated that he “did nothing wrong” and had not seen any signs of abuse or criminal behavior by Epstein.

Before testifying before the House Oversight and Reform Committee, Clinton issued an opening statement denying any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities. He said that if there had been any signs at the time, “I would not have flown on his plane, and I would have personally reported it and called for justice for the victims.”

In his statement, Clinton said his contact with Epstein was limited and had ceased before Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008. He also emphasized that he has sworn to tell the truth, will not speculate or make assumptions, and will answer all questions based on what he knows. He also defended his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, stating she “had no relation to Epstein,” never traveled with him, and never visited his island, residence, or office.

Like his wife Hillary Clinton’s closed-door testimony the day before, this session was also private, but it was recorded in full, and the footage is reportedly to be released. During her testimony, Hillary stated she does not know Epstein, does not remember ever seeing him, has never flown on his plane, and has no information to provide regarding his alleged sexual crimes.

The Clintons initially refused to testify and accused the Republican-led House committee of trying to divert attention. They only agreed to testify after lawmakers threatened to hold them in contempt of Congress.
