Gelonghui February 25 — Data released by the Japan Real Estate Economic Research Institute on February 25 shows that the average price of newly built apartments nationwide in 2025 increased by 7.8% year-on-year to 65.56 million yen (approximately 2.9 million RMB). Due to rising construction costs and other factors, this marks the ninth consecutive year of record highs. The average price in the Tokyo metropolitan area rose 17.4% from 2024 to 91.82 million yen, while the Kinki region declined 0.5% to 53.28 million yen.
