Walrus Mainnet's block explorer has an interesting feature — every 1000 blocks mined, a "Time Ice Core" NFT is minted to record the climate data and network status of that period. Last year, Ice Core #84000 was sent to Greenland and truly buried in the glacier. The inscription reads: "Buried here are one billion invalid transactions, and the energy saved is enough to let walrus herds sing for a thousand years."

The project's idea is quite fascinating — when this glacier finally melts and the inscription is revealed again, perhaps humanity will understand what true storage is. It's not about accumulating data, but about witnessing time itself. This way of combining blockchain with the real world gives technology a human touch.

DYOR but seriously, run the smart contract through a proper audit first before you start romanticizing this. seen too many projects use "environmental consciousness" as cover for MEV exploitation vectors. just saying.
