Wu Shuo has learned that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin posted a retrospective on the 2014 "alternative network" vision, stating that Ethereum has shifted to PoS and continues to scale, with ZK-EVM and PeerDAS routes promoting the realization of the "sharding" vision. Taking the decentralized collaborative document Fileverse as an example, he emphasized that applications should have a "walkaway test" (meaning they can be retrieved and continued even if the project stops), and called for accelerated efforts in 2026 to build truly decentralized applications.
