USDA Announces 3 New Screwworm Cases Yesterday, Total Reaches 5 in U.S.

According to the New York Times, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced on June 8 three new cases of New World screwworm, including the first cases detected on dogs and goats, bringing the total number of U.S. cases to five. The USDA committed to strengthening prevention and control measures against this parasitic infection.
