According to Jin10, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declared on May 23 that the U.S. Army's slow decline has ended. Speaking at West Point Military Academy's 2026 graduation ceremony, Hegseth criticized previous military leadership for introducing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs that he said weakened discipline, diluted standards, and abandoned tradition in the name of political correctness.
