SAFE-4.04%
According to Mist founder Yu Xian on May 26, the Squid security incident stems from a vulnerability in the SquidRouterModule used by Safe wallets. Analysis of affected wallets revealed they operate as single-signature accounts with different owners, but the issue is not with private keys. Instead, attackers can forge messages to bypass verification and execute unauthorized token swaps, transferring funds from target Safe wallets. Yu Xian also disclosed information about attacker profit addresses.
