NAVER Partners with Nvidia on AI Factory Project, Starting at 55MW with Gigawatt-Scale Expansion Plans

According to UAnalyze, South Korea's NAVER announced on June 9 a partnership with Nvidia to expand AI infrastructure using Nvidia's DSX platform to build an AI Factory. The initial deployment will reach 55 megawatts, with plans to expand to gigawatt-scale capacity, supporting South Korea's sovereign AI and data center initiatives.

The project will center on NAVER's GAK Sejong data center, incorporating Nvidia's full AI infrastructure including GPU computing platforms, system software, and data center management technology. NAVER plans to offer the AI Factory to enterprises, government institutions, and cloud customers while meeting local data sovereignty requirements. The company also plans to enhance its HyperCLOVA X language model and launch an AI Agent platform by late 2026.
