According to Iran Football Federation, on May 23, Iran's national football team relocated its 2026 World Cup training base from Tucson, Arizona to Tijuana, Mexico, with FIFA approval. The move was made due to visa processing complications. Iran Football Federation chairman Mehdi Tajik stated that preparatory arrangements in Tijuana have been completed.
